ABOUT STONES THROW CONSTRUCTION & DEVELOPMENT

OUR STORY

At Stones Throw Construction & Development, the work starts long before the concrete arrives.

Across Miami, concrete work and earthwork are almost always handled by two different companies. One digs, grades, and clears. The other pours. The seam between them is where schedules slip, where costs get added, and where responsibility becomes difficult to pin down when something settles or cracks a year later.

Our owner, Alan Del Burgo, built this company to close that gap. Rather than brokering out half the work, Stones Throw invested in its own excavators, trucks, and crews so that a single company could clear the lot, prepare the base, pour the concrete, and haul away everything left behind.

Today we operate as an owner operated construction company serving Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach County, with select project work reaching into Southwest Florida. Our work is split close to evenly between residential and commercial clients. We pour driveways, slabs, and foundations for homeowners, and we handle excavation, grading, land clearing, demolition, and site preparation for builders, developers, and property managers.

We also believe property owners deserve to know exactly what they are buying. That is why our warranty terms are tied directly to the concrete specification you select and stated in writing before any work begins. A reinforced pour and a non-reinforced pour are different products at different prices, and we explain that difference openly rather than leaving it buried in a quote.

Alan is present on every job site we take on. That means the person who quotes your project is the same person checking the base, the reinforcement, and the finish, and the same person you call when you have a question.

We do not simply pour concrete. We prepare and stand behind the ground it depends on.

Our Guiding Values

At Stones Throw Construction & Development, our reputation is built on more than the finished pour. These four values guide every estimate, every conversation, and every decision we make as a local concrete contractor working across Miami, Florida.

Honesty

We price the work as it actually is. If a repair makes more sense than a replacement, we say so. If a site condition will change the cost, you hear it from us before it appears on an invoice rather than after.

Craftsmanship

Concrete performs based on what happens beneath it. Base preparation, compaction, correct thickness, and specified reinforcement receive the same attention as the finish, because those are the details that determine how the surface holds up.

Accountability

We self-perform the full scope, so there is no second contractor to point at when a question comes up. The company that cleared and graded your site is the company that poured on top of it and the company that answers for the result.

Respect for Your Property

A job site sits on someone's home or business. We keep access clear, protect surrounding surfaces, control debris as we work, and leave the property clean rather than treating cleanup as an afterthought once the pour is done.

OUR RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL CONCRETE SERVICES

Strong concrete starts with the ground beneath it. Stones Throw Construction & Development handles the full range of concrete services and site work across Miami, Florida, from residential driveways and slabs to commercial clearing, grading, and demolition. We take on projects of every scale.

We pour and replace residential driveways designed for South Florida conditions. Choose from three reinforcement specifications, each carrying its own written warranty term, so you know exactly what you are buying before the first form goes down.

We pour slabs and foundations for homes, additions, garages, sheds, equipment pads, and commercial structures. Proper base preparation, correct thickness, and specified reinforcement give every slab the support the finished structure actually requires.

Failing driveways, slabs, and flatwork are removed and repoured by one crew. We own the excavators and handle hauling and disposal in house, which keeps the schedule tight and removes a layer of subcontractor markup.

Precise digging, earth removal, and land grading for foundations, utilities, and drainage. In a region this flat, grading is a water management decision before it is anything else, and we treat it that way on every site.

Complete vegetation removal, brush clearing, and site preparation for new construction. We clear overgrown lots, prepare commercial parcels for development, and leave the ground ready for the next trade to begin work immediately.

Safe removal of structures, slabs, and hardscape, with all debris hauled off by our own trucks. Interior strip-outs, full structure demolition, and construction debris removal are handled as a single coordinated scope.
